This little baby of mine…

Is now nine!

Technically she’s been 9 for a few months but it’s exciting all the same 🙂

This year, we opted for a birthday dinners instead of hosting birthday parties. Arrow invited 2 friends over for her meal of choice: a waffle bar.

Complete with her favorite sides: cucumbers and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies 🙂

9 things I love about Arrow:

1. Her love and joy for animals, especially kittens.

2. She’s a voracious reader. Always has her nose in a book, usually about dragons. And a cat is usually never too far from her books, either 🙂

3. She’s a planner

4. How she likes to dress up her family. Be it a fancy night out for her parents or trussing up her brothers’ hairs. We’re all just gigantic, breathing dolls 🙂

5. Her festive decorations

6. She is SO funny and witty!

7. The way she picks up little tasks that need to be done. I thought Taylor had been letting the chickens out of the coop each morning. He thought I was doing it. Nope- turns out Arrow has been watering and releasing the hens just before school every morning.

8. Her snacking independence. Arrow taught herself how to make toast at four years old. Today, she’s pretty quick on her feet to microwave some popcorn or whip up a fruit salad if I’m too slow to get a snack on the table after school.

9. Her desire to try new things. In the last year, she’s picked up skateboarding and writing little comics and making little clothing for her animals. The list goes on. I love that she’s always trying a new hobby.
