Arrow and Archer’s last days of school!

First, let’s remember what those kids looked like on their very first day 🙂

Arrow

It was kind of a wild start to this year. Arrow was starting at a new school for 1st grade. I was in the hospital. Taylor was teaching in another county and had to leave quite early in the mornings. So, Auntie Maren stepped in for the first day and got Arrow all gussied up and psyched for the first day! ❤

Fast forward to now, and Arrow has finished all of 1st grade! But let’s look at that last week. It kicked off with a field trip…

…To a fish farm! I admit I was a little puzzled over the choice of activity. I had thought they were going to the zoo or something. Bringing home a dead fish for dinner wasn’t what we were expecting for the field trip lmao. But I do love living in an agricultural county and teaching kids hands-on life skills!

Plus, Arrow had a great time. Especially that her grandfather got to come as a chaperone:

This is uncomfortable.

On the last day, Arrow brought a present for her teacher and for her school counselor. Both of these woman have been so invested in her life and really helped her through some challenges this dear girl went through this last year. We adore them and are so grateful for their influence!!

At home, we went through Arrow’s keepsake folder and picked out which papers to save for the long haul 🙂

Some of the favorites:

Archer

Archer graduated preschool!!

Look at his darling shy smile.

His teachers were so thoughtful to collect some of his papers throughout the year and put them in a little keepsake box for him. He and I combed through them and added them to his bin.

We like to have a little family outing on the last days of school. This year we celebrated with Jamba Juice:

I can’t believe there will be TWO kids in elementary school next year. And Sander in preschool. Man these kiddos are getting big so fast!

Love you forever and ever Arrow & Archer!
