Valentine’s Day 💌

Legit my favorite holiday 💕 Celebrating love in written form & crafts is 110% my love language. And it comes at a perfect time after surviving the year of January.

Valentine’s Prep

The chaos of addressing classmate valentines for Family Night 🙂

The kids made valentines bags at school but apparently that wasn’t good enough. Arrow & Archer decided to make their own from home:

(Archer: Pikmin Ladybug Monster; Arrow: Sea Turtle; Sander: Cat.)

The actual Valentine’s Day

That morning I woke up to this lovely carnation bouquet:

Let me tell you, this simple gift of flowers meant a lot this particular morning. The night prior had been hours of pregnancy hell. My body was wracked with vomiting, diarrhea, PoTS flare ups, restless leg syndrome, high blood pressure, intense bloating, and pelvic / hip pain. TMI? Sorry. Truly an awful, awful night. And Taylor, who had been up with me or with a random kiddo suddenly awake at 3, still made sure I had flowers before dashing off to greet his first class.

Thank you, honey.

Kid Parties

Normally I visit the kids’ classrooms to read a Valentines themed book or two. Didn’t work out this year with the pregnancy (see above), but my kids still had awesome parties put on by the teachers & room parents:

Cookies were decorated, crafts were made, and minute to win it games were played. All in lead up to the highlight of Valentines’ Day (aka Pink Halloween 😉)

Love showed up in a little but significant ways this holiday. Sure love this crew of mine ❤️

Edited to add: this delightfully delicious cookie Nat brought me. Love you!
