Setting new year’s goals with the littles

The littles and I sat down to plan some New Year’s Resolutions with this fun worksheet from Ed Kids Home. I particularly liked how this worksheet included a nice reflection on all the good things that happened the prior year!

I brought these worksheets out for family night. Everyone snuggled up under shared blankets here, trying to remember what movies we saw for the first time. (Mary Poppins won Most Favorite of 2024 🙂 )

Very serious goal writing / doodling going on here:) (not pictured: Taylor, who was here, but unconscious as he fought off a nasty cold. Poor guy was sick the entire Christmas break.)

With their permission, here are a couple of each kids’ goals:

Arrow:

  1. Read 100 books
  2. Eat a bug (!)

Archer:

  1. Advance to the next level in swim class during the summer
  2. Read every Dogman comic book ever written

Sander:

  1. Learn to write
  2. Learn to spell 🙂

Once we got all that heavy brain work done, we broke out the gingerbread cookie trains my mom gave us for Christmas.

My grand plan is to get their NYE goals hung up on our command center. We’ll see if that actually comes to fruition 🙂 But, if that doesn’t happen, we still had a great night reminiscing and dreaming!
