We just celebrated 11 years married! Celebrations included dinner from our favorite Mexican restaurant & looking at Christmas lights. (Fun fact: we actually got married on Dutch Christmas!)
When our anniversary rolls around, I typically write retroactively about the years together. But let’s switch it up today. Here are 11 dreams I have for the future!
- Have horses someday. Better yet, live by neighbors who let us ride their horses. And use their pool. And their furniture.
- Get separate bedrooms. I can’t sleep because his snoring wakes me up. Taylor can’t sleep because I’m kicking him to stop snoring. So fun!
- Visit Switzerland. Live in Switzerland. Die in Switzerland.
- Figure out what to do with our useless side yard.
- Go to more comedy shows!
- Learn a language together. Preferably one the kids don’t know. Arrow is catching on to all our secrets.
- Have game nights with friends again. We were great at hosting Cookies and Cards for a long time and now we rarely have visitors 😦
- Live a semester abroad with the kids. Russia would be cool to do again if they would knock it off with the conquering. 🙄
- Have a million more babies and a billion grandbabies and grow blueberries for them to stain their tiny mouths with the juices during harvest season,
- Return to the East Coast. The day my parents die is the day I leave Utah. (On the plus side, I think my dad is now going to live forever, purely out of spite to keep the grandkids nearby.)
- Determine once and for all if our incredibly similar Dutch heritage is ACTUALLY coincidental… or if we’re secretly siblings. You see why I’m suspicious:

The fact he won’t take a DNA test just shows that he’s frugal and not because he doesn’t care about accidental incest. Right?
Just sharing this next photo because Taylor looks super hot. Admire the view if you must. BUT HE’S ALREADY MINE YOU CAN’T HAVE HIM.

I sure love you, Taylor. Thanks for enduring *wildly gestures at everything* with me. Can’t wait to see what amazing experiences await us!
