Archer is 8!

Eight things we love about our cub.

  1. His gentle soul. He’s not one to force his way or his opinion.

2. How he laughs. His laugh is high pitched in that little boy way. A truly gleeful “oh no no!”laugh. How it warms our hearts to hear it!

3. His willingness to let Mom take a photo even though there are MUCH more important matters at hand!

4. His sense of fairness. Archer is very good at making sure that his siblings are not getting extra iPad time beyond the allotted time. 😉

5. His devotion to sister. Arrow is his ride or die, and the rest of us can kick rocks.

6. How he loves facts. The world is SO fascinating. And he loves to share everything he’s learned.

7. His current hatred for clouds 🤣 he provides regular updates on the cloud situation from the porch. The analysis is ALWAYS bad news.

8. His gentleness with animals and love for all creatures. Including bugs.

9. His logical approach to life. Recently, he had a cavity filled. The dentist tried to make the appt very kid-friendly with comments like “putting your teeth to sleep” and “cleaning out sugar bugs”.

Archer, who does not engage in such nonsense, merely looked to me and asked if numbing shots were involved. He was much more settled with the true facts of the procedure and not worrying about literal “bugs” crawling in his teeth!

9.5 (He was also the only kid who didn’t need laughing gas. My boy just takes life how it is, pain and all.)

10. How Archer just takes things as they are. Sure he has his struggles when it comes to breaking routines. It can be an emotional ordeal when that happens. But for the most part, he’s good to get things done when he has those clear expectations.

11. Bonus! Something I love FOR him is his new ADHD medication. The static in his brain has settled and it’s seriously a brand new world for him! He is SO much happier and SO excited to experience the world in finer details. Can’t wait to share more about this soon! ❤️

We adore you, Cubby Cub. Happy birthday!!
