HAPPY MAYCEMBER EV3RY1. ARE U OK? I AM NO.

Instead of using this unscheduled block of time to catch up on my disgustingly long to do list, imma blog and tell you about that one time we drove back to Reno for spring break!

Picture this. It’s 2024 Spring Break. Mike & Sherry. Reno, Nevada. Taylor & Travis have yet to text me about their DTR. Taylor and I are also sick of my house so she pays our way to go see the in-laws.

Oma & Opa were so kind to host us for a few days at their home. We kept it super chill and loved every minute.

One of the lovely places we visited was Idlewide Park.

Perfect for playing, walking along the Truckee River, and taking a FAT nap in the sun with a book.

I need to come back in actual spring when the gardens have bloomed.

Btw this is a botanical blog now.

MOVIE NIGHTS

We had a couple movie nights catching up on old classics like Baby’s Day Out. I can’t remember the other oldie we watched, which is BOTHERSOME, because it was GOOD.

Would it be weird to call up my in-laws and harass them for that one movie we watched one time at their house? Actually, yes, it would, but would they understand my quest for answers? A GIRL’S GOTTA KNOW.

Mike, if you read this, which you should be because I’m sending this entire blog post directly to your work email, can you remind me what movie we watched at this exact moment this photo was taken? No further clarifying details will be offered. Thanks!

DISCOVERY CHILDRENS’ MUSEUM

Of course, we couldn’t pass up a trip to the awesome children’sandalsoadultstbh museum.

Taylor ran into our old neighbors of all people while there! They used to live kittycat corner* from us (Cattycorner? Kitkatcorner? What’s the word I’m looking for here?)

We broke out board games and ice cream sundaes:

Oh, and also a cotton candy machine that was super easy to finagle 😉

I think this was my favorite part of the trip. Just laughing, making bad decisions, and talk talk talking into the night.

Also this is now Tay’s & my favorite quick game. Can’t wait to play it with my husband sometime!

And too soon we were headed back to Utah.
