The goodness of old friends

First off, thank you to everyone last week who sent encouraging comments, DMs, texts, carrier pigeons, etc. Taylor and I are honestly surprised so many people reached out to us with words of encouragement. Like I said in the post, we are doing great in our mixed-faith marriage, but it helps to know we are cared for! ❤️

Now onto some other good people!

Over the past few months. Tay and I lucked out to visit friends from our youths.

First up was our dear friends Joe & Beth to celebrate their little boys’ birthday. Our other college friend, Mike & his family, were there as well 🙂 Joe, Mike, and I were all in a dance crew together in college.

Fast forward a couple months! I got to meet up with Jackie (who was also in that dance group!) She has successfully kicked cancer’s ass and is living such a lovely life.

Jackie & her husband run an engraving business. I hired them to make this cookie recipe cutting board. Isn’t it perfect?!

Sooo glad to catch up with you again, pickle!

Then I attended the baby shower of a friend I’ve known since 1st grade. Ben, it is still crazy to me that you’re a DAD now!

(Nevermind the fact I already have a small army of children at home. It’s still so surprising when other peoples’ lives move on???)

Ben and I made plans to meet up again, this time with his twin Chris for a game night. Tsuro is now my favorite board game.

There’s just something about the goodness of old friends. Ben and Chris have seen me through all the growing pain years. I believe they may be entitled to financial compensation for sticking it out all these years. But people who love you just for who you are and purposely hang out with you are special indeed.

So wonderful to see you all (Mike, Joe, Beth, Jackie, Ben, Sarah, Chris, & Mindy) again. Love you guys xoxo.
