Taylor and I just celebrated TEN years of marriage.

TEN.
THATS BASICALLY 100 IN DOG YEARS.

We went all out for this special occasion.
First up: fancy dining at the La Caille restaurant.

Where Taylor sweet-talked me into eating escargot…

SNAILS. HE MADE ME EAT SNAILS. THIS IS WHAT MARRIAGE DOES TO YOU.
Dinner was so delicious and I will be craving that duck roast for the next eternity.
The next morning we tried out Utah’s claim to fame: the Brighton slopes!

The prospect of snapping a limb or two scared us into signing up for group intro lessons. I tried out snowboarding while Tay took on skiing.
Results: I fell on my butt and/or the instructor’s feet a billion times and lost my phone.
Meanwhile, Taylor discovered he is a secret wonder and advanced to level 3 at his instructor’s encouragement!
TRYING NEW SCARY THINGS. THIS IS WHAT MARRIAGE DOES TO YOU.
We’ll definitely make a return to the slopes. Maybe even before the next decade anniversary. 😉
We finished up our little getaway with Cafe Rio and went home to 3 little folks anxious to hear about snails.

Thanks for the wonderful trip and the past ten years, Taylor. Love you forever.
