Wrapping up summer

Summer 2023 was a good, busy one! Taylor worked on his masters degree and set about leveling our backyard (for real 😳). I completed an internship and ate candy. The kids had a lot of boring downtime.

Yup. Good summer break.

Here are the little things that wrapped it all up for us 😉

My sibbies and I went to see the Barbie movie. We LOVED it.

(Maddie was here too, but opted out of the photo.)

Lots of ice cream was eaten:

We had our first Jacobs family REUNION, which I’ll post more about tomorrow.

Said goodbye to my last set of foster kittens for the next while:

These guys mark 17 kittens. Archer is a little heart broken over our kitten hiatus. He sure loves animals! Luckily, I have a goal to foster 12 more by next summer, so more kitties are coming ☺️

We hosted an bbq with the other interns. (More on that in a couple days.)

I THOUGHT THE BOOKMOBILE WAS A MYTH BUT THEN-

Books were $1.00. Or sometimes 50 cents. BRUH.

We visited our dear Auntie Hannah at work and ate her fabulous cookies.

Aaaand a coordinating cavity and root canal to pair nicely with those delicious cookies. 😉

Yup. We had a good summer. Now onto a new season!
