I enjoy setting birthday goals. This year, to celebrate *cough*29*cough*, I decided one of those goals to foster 29 kittens. I’m halfway there with kittens 14 & 15. Let’s talk about our most recent feline residents 🙂
Kitten #14 is the gentlest little lady. We named her Baby Penny for her size and coloring.

While kitten #15 is the goddess of chaos. Her name is Skittles.

These two kittens were rescued from under a trailer home. It was a rough start to life. Between the two of them, they have an eye ulcer, goopy eyes, and possibly a worm of some kind. (Baby Penny isn’t putting on any weight ☹️)
But they’re SO much fun to play and snuggle with! We love when Skittles unleashes the zoomies. Baby Penny is content to lay in your lap for hours. (Might be lethargic from undernourishment but we’re working on that…)

Of course, the number of kittens fostered is just a fun metric to have. I’m grateful for the opportunity to care for these little creatures. I’m grateful my kids glean how to care properly for animals. Archer even thinks he’ll be a vet someday! Regardless of their professions, I’m glad to pass on the love of animals to my children. And to enjoy this foster work myself 🙂
