*I dislike the word clan, but thesaurus.com only offered “mob” and “sect” as alternatives. Gross. Someone smart, please fix that.
Taylor’s side of the family has been BUSY with life-changing decisions.
Let’s talk about the bittersweet change first. Taylor’s parents have a new adventure coming right up:

Mike was offered a promotion at his job as a religious instructor for the LDS church. Yay, right? WRONG. You see, the promotion required them a move from UTAH to NEVADA! Much to our collective dismays, they decided to take it! 😉
Honestly, it’s a great new adventure for these empty nesters. Brave, too, I think, to change things up in their stage of life! I would rather eat mayochup for every meal for the rest of my life than ever move houses between states again. But Mike & Sherry are taking that plunge! That go-getter attitude to keep broadening one’s horizons is admirable!
Mike & Sherry have included everyone in moving updates. They’ve initiated rotating visits with the grandkids. They’ve emailed the adult kids MLS listings that have potential. The entire family even got together to wrap up some house/yard projects just before the listing photographer came:

Being involved in the process has been a little balm for our sadness.
Fortunately, everything has been falling into place smoothly! During their week house-exploration in Reno, they sold a house and bought another!! They sent this in the group chat.

The big move is coming up in a couple of months. That breaks my heart just thinking about it, so let’s talk about the HAPPY change 😀
Maren is getting married!!!

The fiancé’s name is Nate. He is wonderful. Seriously. Maren and Nate’s auras seem to flow around each other, if that makes sense. Just totally at peace and happy and calm. (And Arrow dies a little every time she sees them kiss.)
Their special day is coming up in a month!! Hannah and I have been busy planning Maren’s bridal shower. Maren & Nate have been hustling for a home in this IMPOSSIBLE MARKET WTF UTAH.
My kids have been lucky to get two new wonderful uncles this past year. Likewise, we bio kids have lucked out to get some great married-in-siblings. (Oh. I just wrote that last sentence and realized I am one of those married-in-kids. Not a Jacobs bio kid.) We couldn’t ask for better people to marry into the McKeeth & Jacobs families.
Maren’s wedding and Mike & Sherry’s moving day are coming up! I promise to only cry at one of those and dance at the other. </3
