Sander’s berfday

Speaking of Sander, he had a birthday!

Every year we make a balloon door. This year we learned that masking tape is TOO effective at keeping in place lmao.

Big sister made him a wonderful birthday crown:

Sunday school teachers gave him a crown as well:

Sander insisted on a “train-feem” birthday. I whipped up my favorite sheet cake recipes:

And gave that kid a train theme!

The chocolate cake was the “kid” cake (and the most fun to decorate!). The almond cake, though lacking in decor, was a delight.

We also served Sander’s favorite foods: cheetos, oranges, grapes, and sprite 🙂

Our house is quite small. And Tay and I have big families. We got permission to borrow a room in the local church for the party. I figured we would get the church gym or something.

Nah. It was the meeting room.

It was a little weird hosting a party in this giant carpeted room (it felt ghostly in a way) but we were grateful to have a place!

Cousin crew!

My family got to meet my newest nephew. Oh isn’t he just scrumptious?

Sander was blessed with a gift of his most favorite thing in the whole world: a bushel of oranges.

He hauled those things around for dayyyssss.

Thank you everyone for celebrating this special little boy with us!!
