We put up a few decorations, including this candle display that our friend Kim made (behind the picturesque orange cat).

The Wall of Cheer was assembled with Christmas Cards sent from all over:

Speaking of Christmas Cards, we set up our own little workshop to mail our own:

Junior included 🙂
We didn’t have time to see the entire family on Christmas / Eve, so we got together a little early to visit & decorate cookies with some:
(apparently the conversation must’ve been about war, orphans, and the Jazz)

Dear friends came to visit us, too.
Interestingly enough, I wasn’t able to pull out most of the Christmas decor. Too many boxes still unpacked. But this was the year that I felt most at peace and delighted with the company we kept. Maybe Christmas isn’t about the lights or the themed pillows bought in the store. Maybe, just maybe, it’s about the people mentioned afore.
