Taylor asked for a low-key, no-fuss birthday this year. Which, frankly, surprised and scared me. Do birthday stop being fun after you hit 30??

In any case, Taylor got just what he asked for. One of his classes sang “Happy Birthday” to a student who shared his same birthday. It wasn’t until well after school had ended did Taylor realize that it was his birthday too!

We had mushroom burgers and donuts for dinner:

And that was the end of his day … except he was married to me and we had to include at least one surprise! My dear friend makes this amazing custard balls. Doesn’t this look so real?!
