Sheesh! It’s been a little while since I’ve last updated this site. Buying a house & all the unique problems it comes with has been incredibly time consuming. (We’re set to have the plumber over again tomorrow morning… for the 4th time… fingers crossed that this is the last time!)
Let’s back up on the Jacobs timeline to a big day for the kids: their first day of school!
Is it just me or is the school year starting earlier and earlier?
We started at a new school this year. Our new home was in a different school boundary, so yet again, Arrow was going to be the new kid again. Which came as a big disappointment for her. When our move to TX fell through, we thought we’d remain in our Utah rental. But then we had to move anyway, and here we are, starting over again!
Look at this little pup doing her best to be brave.

Oh man how happy are we to finally settled into a house. I’ve been worried about all the change this little girl has had to go through in her life thus far. Another school was a lot to take in on top of everything else. Arrow didn’t talk or play much that first day and felt pretty lonely without her usual crew.
After she confided about her unhappy day, I gave her a “secret mission”. Her assignment was to two pieces of information on the second day: 1) the color of her teacher’s eyes and 2) the name of someone who sits at her table.
Well that little girl did some recon and some extra credit! Arrow reported back that her teacher’s eyes are gray-green and she had memorized not one but three kids’ names today!
Proud of her for putting herself out there by getting to know the new people in her life. ❤ ❤
Archer gets some of the spotlight today too. He’s officially a KINDERGARTNER. The teachers were ready with this fun banner:

Ready to go!

I am not ready to have my boy leaving home to go to school. But he certainly is ready. Here’s what he thought about it after his first day.

So I guess Kinder is okay?
crazy kids. love them so. ❤
