We spent a hot summer morning reeling in catfish:

Who were none too happy to be caught. Fortunately for this dweeby lookin dudes, we were there only to catch and release. And Sander was the only one who caught anything 🙂
(Arrow was rather put out that she didn’t catch a fish this time. Unfortunately that’s just how fishing works sometimes. But Arrow did enjoy catching odd bits and bugs with a net!)

I should really say it was my Uncle Darren who caught anything, since he did most of the work from baiting the hooks to catching and helping the kids reel the fish in.

We had a really nice morning. From fishing to watching the pelicans take flight as the waves lapped against the shoreline.

Summertime fishing is steadily becoming a favorite pastime. Thank you for taking us, Uncle Darren!
