games, candy, and a gender reveal! NOT MINE

At our most recent family get together, we adults tried to play some kind of table game. (I think it was called Sushi Go Go? Go Sushi Go?) When Tay and I were first married, playing games on a Sunday evening has been a regular event. But lately, it’s been harder to play with the small people climbing in and out of laps and announcing who has a full house or bluff to the table.

So my MIL had the great idea to hire out babysitters to entertain the kids while we adults snuck out to a local church building to play games, trash talk, and binge eat costco candy with no regrets*

*I ate too many peanut m&ms. Gastrointestinal regrets were had.

But, I’m getting a little bit ahead of myself here. Somehow my inlaws got a key to their local church and (maybe?) got permission to use it on a random Saturday night.

Oh, and they also borrowed gym, too, for an extra surprise from Taylor’s brother and his wife… 🙂

They’re having a baby boy!!! There was a lot of anticipation leading up to the balloon popping. My mother in law got to go first and incredibly picked the winning balloon on the first try. (My stats class taught me that she had a 6% chance of doing that 😮 )

So awesome to have the cousin crew growing with this new little man!!

But after all that excitement, it was time to go back to family members pitted against one another while debating the one’s attractions to young John McCain

You get it.

I think the highlight of the evening was when I got a smile from my niece. You see, she refuses to love me, even though I’m actually obsessed with her. So for now I must make do with rare smiles and me sending out adoration vibes from afar. She is aware of my unwavering love, but does not reciprocate. She sure does love her big cousin though.

These two are so precious 😭

Such a good night to hang out as siblings and in laws 🙂

Love you guys!!!
