February little things

February is my favorite month of the year! Here are some of the little moments from the month I want to remember.

One of my book hauls. With the exception of “Outlaws” by Jonathan Straud, I think these are all really great books. Hopefully I’ll get around to some writeups.

Speaking of books, I figured out something that keeps 2.5/3 of my kids quiet in the library! Behold: graphic novels for kids.

Although, Arrow is pretty well behaved in public. She has more life experience and maturity than the little boys. Archer and Sander are 3 respectively, which means the entire world is their playground. However, a graphic novel sucked Archer in like nobody’s business. And with Archer’s nose stuck in a book, Sander was forced to follow example and find himself a picture book. (It only lasted 5 minutes, but hey, 5 minutes of library manners is a win!)

But, it’s not all bad. He loves to learn and develop his independence. While I was whipping up an afterschool snack, he thought it imperative that I should get a special snack too:

4 raw eggs, olives, relish, sliced pickles, rice vinegar, and a hearty dash of cool whip. All for mother.

It was delectable.

I was having mad decent panic attacks, so I holed up in my safe space and attempted a digital art sketch.

I thought it was cute, until Taylor pointed out the side windows look like eyes and the door window looks like frowning teeth.

You can’t unsee it now, can you?

This random and somewhat eerie picture was discovered on my phone.

I did not take this. Who did? Where are we? Why is the car solid but the people are ghostlike? WHAT’S HAPPENING.

Drug dealing with my sister’s cat:

His professional recommendation was: “Meow, stop taking your heart meds, meow meow, you won’t notice a difference, meow meow, they’re just sugar pills”. *laughs in evil meow*

More visits to the Occupational Therapist:

Archer is doing well with the exercises!

Arrow made this darling valentine for the kitchen:

A great month for the books. ❤
