a parenting conference & a little Provo date

Taylor and I got really lucky to go to one of the Simply on Purpose workshops in Provo last summer.

We learned so much more about “natural consequences” and peaceful parenting.

We were also given a delightful small breakfast with chocolate muffins which absolutely cemented my undying loyalty to the program.

Ralphie Jacobs is my favorite person ever because 1) She was really funny and 2) She has my last name. But seriously, her parenting advice was really, really eye opening and straightforward. I HIGHLY recommend looking up her parenting advice. It’s scientifically based and helped structured by her mother who is a doctor in child neuropsychology. Ralphie herself studied childhood development and elementary education, and taught school. It’s really lovely to understand how the brains work and to be patient with kids and ourselves as the parents. Her website is here: https://simplyonpurpose.org/

Just two parents who really, really love their children and want to give them the best childhood.

After the conference, Taylor and I wandered around Provo for a little while. We stumbled on this rad looking bookstore and immediately spent our children’s inheritance.

This is a photodump of books we found that I want to add to my library holds.

Quick smoothie lunch. We totally shared the same smoothie, ooh lala.

Lovely day to get some good education and be together.

Love you forever and ever Taylor xoxo

Book stores will forever be taking all of my savings. Also next time you’re in Provo before noon you should totally go to Hruska’s Kolaches!!!
