Every morning, we go out for a daily adventure.

Taylor has been busy prepping for his new classes coming up soon, so the kids and I have snuck out to enjoy the morning summer weather. Usually this is just a splurge to the park or library, but we learned about this nature preserve that seemed worth the trip!
With our bikes loaded up, we made our way to the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve.

It was so refreshing to escape the city to be surrounded by fields as far as the eye could see.

There are two giant wooden structures on opposites ends of park. You get to them by following either direction of the circular boardwalk. (And we later learned that bikes aren’t allowed on the boardwalk. Next time, we won’t bring our wheels 🙂 )
We saw so many types of birds & flowers:

The kids were brave and climbed the 3 stories of the wooden tower.

Here’s that same tower from a distance:

It was such a pleasant way to spend a couple hours on a warm summer morning. I can’t wait to come back in the spring when the water levels have (hopefully) risen!
