The semester is over.
What glorious joy that 4 worded sentence brings.
My college finals are finished. Taylor and I sent off our students last week with treats in a bag and said don’t bother emailing us over break for updating your grades WE’RE DONE OKAY.
Fine, that last sentence is a lie. Our students can totally email us. But we’re not doing anythang about anythang until after Christmas. And maybe New Years.
As per tradition, an end-of-semester celebration was in order. And as per COVID madness tradition, it had to be done quarantine style.
Taylor and I decided to spend the entirety of our teacher’s salaries on eating out. We picked curb-side Zupas for ourselves and Happy Meals for the kids. (Which are now $5 a box?!)
Then we went out for a Christmas lights show.

Enclosed in the contaminated air of our car, we played the radio and watched this awesome house put on a light show with their decorations. The children were delighted, except for Sander who could not care less.

For Utah readers – our good friends told us about this interactive light show map from KSL. It tells you when and where there are Christmas lights displays that are probably worth driving for. This is how we found this fun light show that got our quarantined babes out of the house without infecting anyone 🙂
Twas a good party to end the semester on. And now we look forward to two weeks of pure relaxation and lounging about and finishing a basement and finally getting 1,000 hours worth of projects singlehandedly completed in 336 hours 🙂
